In addition to all the other things that Hostgator does that I really don't like,

they also hijack your 404 pages, when you host your site there and someone enters a wrong page they get this:

ERROR 404 - PAGE NOT FOUND
Oops! Looks like the page you're looking for was moved or never existed.
Make sure you typed the correct URL or followed a valid link.
