When
I started I tried all kinds of ways to find sites to link with. I
started out searching through Google and emailing sites asking them to
trade links.
What I found out was most sites don't trade links, and of the sites that do trade links most of them will not trade with you.
So I spent a lot of time getting 1 or 2 links.
Then I figured out you really have to find a large pool of people
willing to trade links with you. Looking through 100 sites and
finding 1 that will respond to you takes a lot of time and is not very
efficient.
The solution I came up with is to find sites where people go to trade links and spend your time there.
There are many sites you can sign up for that people will start writing you asking you to trade links with them.
Signing up at the link exchange sites will do 2 things:
- get you a link back, sometimes from a page with some good page rank.
- get other people to write to you requesting a link exchange
These are the sites that I have had the most success with:
- linkalizer.com - many requests from sites with page rank.
- value-exchange.sitesell.com - This is a great
site, but I think you should save it until you have some page rank, at
least 1 if not more. The reason is they have a database you can sent
emails to but I think your response will not be much with a page rank 0
site. You will not get any page rank from this site but the link
requests you get are the highest quality.
These sites I have tried but I don't know about yet, some of these will
just post your email so you don't how many or where the requests are
coming from. But any one site from the above list will generate
more links than all of these sites combined.
- newworldproducts.org - They first give you a
couple warnings "please make sure that you have no sex or related
material on your site", they don't even want people dating and they
prohibit these sites as well. Their number one requirement is - 1.) No Adult content, dating, or werez.
- links-pal.com - this site boasts that you will
be listed on a page rank 5 page, which is true. But the pages I
looked at all had around 800 to 1000 links on them so I don't know if
you will get much page rank from that. They also would like for you to
pay 2.99 to sign up, otherwise they will delay you for 3 or 4 weeks.
- cluboo.com - can get a page rank 4 link back with less than 100 links on the page.

ambusha.com - appears to be a copy of cluboo.com with a page rank of 3 on their link back pages and a few less links.
