Xsitepro vs Blogger

I am thinking about switching from using Blogger to xsitepro to publish my website.

It looks like it comes down to blogger being able to use Word to publish so it has the best spell checking and an RSS feed.

Xsitepro has different meta tags for each page and a site map page.

My first thought was to set up a couple sites with each and see if it would make a difference with the search engines. But then I remembered that the search engines are so fickle that I don’t know if you could draw any conclusion even if you set up 100 sites with each – And I don’t have the time to do that.

Some sites are indexed instantly and other take up to a year.  With this kind of variance it makes it difficult to impossible to try and compare two different sites.

I think you can make changes to one site and see if you get any results, but you can’t say that those results will work on another site the same way.

So for the time being, I think Meta tags are on their way out and probably won’t be used at all in the near future.  So I guess I am going to stick with Blogger and the Word add-on to publish with.
