The Problem With Search Engine Optimization
The problem with search engine optimization (SEO) is that the people who are really good at writing content about their subject are usually really bad at SEO.
And the people who are really good at SEO frequently have content that a 1st grader could have written.
That’s the big problem. No matter how much you know about a topic, if no one reads what you have then it is as good as wasted on the internet.
Many times these people who are really knowledgeable also think that SEO is shady and dishonest. Then when you throw in all the talk and myths about Google penalties and search engine banning of sites. It’s no wonder that people mistakenly believe that SEO is nothing but underhanded tactics that should never be used.
The basics behind SEO is to help your website get noticed in the search engines, and hopefully you will have something worth while that people will be interested in.
So there must be a balance between working on content and working on getting your site noticed. I look at it as helping the search engines to do their job.
